When Can I Move In?

Please refer to "Contract Information," under "Pictures, Prices & Contracts," to see the exact move-in dates.

If you will be not be arriving on the first day of the contract period, please contact us in advance to make alternate arrangements.  Tenants must check in with management prior to moving into an apartment.

Where Do I Check in?

Please come to the manager’s apartment (156 East 2nd South Apt. B) to check in, pay your rent and receive your key.

How Big Is My Bed?

All of our apartments have standard twin-sized beds.

Can I Decorate My Room?

Yes!  You can use Plasti-tac, damage-free command hooks or a few small tacks to put things on your walls. All decorations must be easily removed without damaging the apartment surfaces.  Please do not use nails, tape or other adhesives to hang things up, as your deposit will be charged to repair the damage caused by these things.  Also, please do not display inappropriate items in your apartment.

What Should I Bring?

Because apartment space is limited, we recommend that tenants contact their roommates to coordinate some of the items they bring (there’s no need to have six sets of dishes).  We suggest that you bring the following:

  • Mattress cover (required, not the same as a fitted sheet)

  • Bedding (sheets, blankets, pillow, pillowcases)

  • Towels, washcloths

  • Alarm clock

  • Flashlight, candle warmer (matches and flames are not permitted)

  • Cleaning supplies

  • Laundry supplies (detergent, bag or collapsible basket)

  • Hangers

  • Soap and other toiletries

  • Kitchen items (dishes, cups, utensils, pots & pans, etc.)

  • Personal items

What Should I NOT Bring?

  • Fireworks or other explosive/flammable materials

  • Incense

  • Weapons (including but not limited to firearms, BB guns, paint/pellet guns, wrist rockets, large knives, ammunition)

  • Unrated, R-rated or above movies

  • Additional furniture (without manager’s approval)

  • Ouija boards, dart boards

  • Other inappropriate items

Please be considerate of space, safety and peaceful enjoyment of the living areas for everyone in your apartment when deciding what to bring.  If you have questions, please contact us.

Can I Have a Pet?

Animals are not allowed in BYU-Idaho approved housing, so please do not bring your pets (or buy new ones while you are here).

What About Computers?

Because Danbury Manor has high-speed wireless Internet, potential tenants should make sure their computers have wireless capability before signing a contract.  Tenants will need to sign an Internet use agreement and obtain the network key in order to access the Internet at the apartments.

Where Should I Put My Bike?

Outdoor racks are available for bicycles; there is no indoor or garage storage for bikes, and they are not permitted inside the apartments at any time.  Tenants who object to storing their bikes outdoors should take their bikes home.  Those who choose to bring bikes should keep them locked up and should register them with the University Police in case of theft.  Please do not park your bike on the lawn, as the pedals, handles and kick-stand can tear up the grass.  Thank you!

Is There a Parking Spot for My Car?

Parking agreements are provided on a first-come, first-served basis and only tenants with such parking agreements are permitted to park their vehicles on apartment property.  Potential tenants should ask about parking availability prior to submitting a housing contract.  Please refer to the Parking Agreement and Fees & Penalties documents on the Rates and Contracts page for more information.

Will I Need Renter's Insurance?

We suggest you obtain renter’s insurance to cover your belongings, as Danbury Manor and its affiliates are not responsible for personal property.  Check with your parents to see if you are covered already.

What Ward Am I in?

You can find out what stake and ward you will be in by visiting the BYU-Idaho Campus Wards and Stakes Information page.
